Critic

This poem was originally my response to a (still on-going) challenge with Su’eddie but I’d like to share it. Enjoy.

You judge the merit of my art
You never fail to play your part
For that’s the nature of your art
Not so much of an eyelid bat

Dissect as with a fine-tooth comb
Analyse in minute detail
Scrutinise motives real or not
Dismember each thought that’s expressed

You are of essence that is sure
If you’re not there I’m still uncooked
My work leaves your refining pot
Then by the world to be embraced

  1. Oh la! This sure as heck looks like the ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ of two great poetic minds bandying around cool lines and verses, between ’em two! I adore the first verse with ’em rhyming words and you did make a ‘case’, with all ’em lines put together! Critics actually make us better, especially ones who know their onions and will employ words tactfully, in their ‘brutality’ of our works! So then, its a win-win for both parties! Well done you brawling duo, keep bringing your pocketfuls of awesomeness; its totally allowed!! 😉😁

  2. Su’eddie, be our Rabbi
else our hearts be filled with painful thrombi
Of our pages, never pass by
    Stay nearby
    Don’t ever say bye
…Lovely one as usual Zee…you are the bees knees….
