Friedrich Nietzsche said: “Love is blind, but friendship closes it’s eyes”… and indeed, if we do not turn a blind eye to prejudices and the imperfections of humanity, there can be no friendship. I think that true friendship, as this poem beautifully suggests, is a marriage of acceptance, and forgiveness; more than anything else. And oh, how blessed is he– the one that the Universe confers such honour upon. Lovely poem ma’am!
