Birth Of The Dawn…..by Gift Dimgba Mamre

I’m pleased to share this next post with you, written by my dear friend Gift Dimgba Mamre. Gift is positive, with a vivaciousness that is very contagious. This piece highlights her personal struggles and an affirmation of her inmost desires. She speaks as if she has already received and that, my friend, is faith. Enjoy.

Birth Of The Dawn

In the birth of dawn,
With epitome of hope piled
I humbly sit and wait
My forthcoming child.

To this unborn one
From now and times to come
With happiness, and wisdom
I foresee a child with fun

To nourish his curious mind
And knowledge, help to find
I’ll always read with you,
Show you things I never knew

With you, I’ll never be sad
My moon-pie and precious lad
I have no fear, a mum to be,
My special kid, I can’t wait to see.

  1. Wow! I relate really well with this on so many levels but most especially being a mama of three and having experienced being over due for more than two weeks but once they arrived my joy knows no bounds.

Those dark days don’t last ‘cos the sun will surely shine.
    Bless you and yours.
    Thanks for sharing.

  2. A nice lyric, colorful with hope. I really like the richness and simplicity, though the harsh cynic in me smiles that so we all were once on a woman’s feet. God’s blessing dear

    • Well summed up Gift, a problem shared is halved and we can all learn to draw strength from one another, knowing there are others like us in like situation! We shall overcome someday, till then, we shall walk and not grow weary; we shall run and not faint! For in our waiting, the Good Lord will cause for us to soar on Eagle’s wings and we shan’t tire, till our change comes!šŸ˜‡šŸ˜

Welcome Gift, mummy of blessed, divine Bomboy, we’re mighty glad to have you join us! 😊 May the Lord be it unto you and yours as many bambinos as you both desire! Shalom!šŸ˜€šŸ˜‰

  4. Aw! This does strike close home and I can pretty much relate with the Poet! ‘Tis always darkest before dawn and just when you think things couldn’t get any worse off than they already are, that’s when your lil cutie and ‘SONSHINE’ will come shinning through to a perfect, glorious day! I say Son, cause I can see the Poet’s looking to have a lil adorable lad from these beautiful lines from which hope and positivity oozes! 😁😊

Your expectations shan’t be cut off Gift and sooner than you know, you’d be nurturing your very own moon-pie, with whom you’ll never be sad IJN; AMEN! šŸ˜‡šŸ˜„
